Dashboard Guide & Glossary

Understanding the Loop Dashboard metrics and indicators.

Glossary

Trend Indicators

  • ↑ 12% Green upward arrow indicates improvement from the previous period
  • ↓ 5% Red downward arrow indicates decline from the previous period
  • → Flat Gray arrow indicates less than 1% change (essentially stable)

How Trends are Calculated

Trends are calculated by comparing the current period's metrics to the previous period of the same length. The overall trend for a loop is the simple average of all metrics visible to the selected stakeholder's view.

Inverse Metrics

Some metrics are "inverse" meaning lower values are better (e.g., error rates, response times, crash rates). For these metrics, a decrease is shown as an improvement (green) rather than a decline.

Health Status

  • Healthy (80% or more hypotheses validated)
  • Degrading (50-79% hypotheses validated)
  • Broken (less than 50% hypotheses validated)

No Prior Data

When you see "No prior data", it means this is the first period being measured and there's nothing to compare against yet. Trends will appear once enough historical data has been collected.
